A Major Team Event Trend Is Boosting Revenue in Five Top Casino Apps
Coin Master’s Plant Buddies is the latest iteration in a major trend of identical interaction events that have appeared in five top casino apps. This type of event was originally introduced by Monopoly GO! in 2023, where its initial runs increased revenue by 50% 5Do5D or more.
In these events, each player joins up to four teams of two and completes a separate prize meter with each team. Because meter progress is tied to the apps’ base game and live ops content, the events drive engagement across the app. The use of multiple two-player teams also creates several sources of social pressure for each player.
