Reel Expansion Bonus Game Triggers

Four different machines used the Reel Expansion Feature. In the feature, players hit an Arrow on the first and second reel to expand the third reel upwards at least one position. The number of expansion-positions is random. If an Arrow hits on the third reel, the fourth reel expands (and the same for the fifth reel). Expanding the reels the maximum amount triggers the bonus game that sits atop of that reel.

Player-Triggered Boosted Spin Mode

In the Matsuri Kojiki Moon machine, players build up credits in the base game to play the Fortune Bank. Once a player wins enough credits to unlock the Fortune Bank, they can opt-in by clicking a button and converting the 3 x 5 reel set to four stacked reel sets. In doing so, the bet amount increases four times. [pigeon_protect]

Break-the-Chain with Adjacent Symbols

In Monster Sweep, any set of three symbols horizontally or vertically awards a Sweep. After each Sweep, symbols cascade, chains are broken, positions unlock, potential jackpot wins increase, and pays are re-evaluated. There is a lot of presentation and movement … for what is typically a small win.

Non-Slots Bonus Games

KONAMI added a treasure ball, a pinball game, and a coin dozer bonus game to different machines.

Symbol Conversion x3

The Triple Sparkle mechanic hits three times, improving and sometimes expanding the symbol on each conversion.
