ARISTOCRAT
Mad Max IP with Spinning Modes
The headliner for Aristocrat, Mad Max Fury Road, paired movie sequences with spinning mechanics. In the base game, the reels spin vertically. In the respins, the reels spin right-to-left. And, in the Fury Road, the screen moves around to show different reel strips.
The wheel bonus used four wheels to determine the player’s winnings. [pigeon_protect]
FarmVille IP with Lightning Link
Zynga IP made a surprise appearance at G2E in the FarmVille Mighty Cash machine. The machine had a Lightning Link respin that was tuned so that players are likely to fill the reels with locked symbols (a nice variation for more social players who desire higher hit frequencies). After locking all the symbols, players received a multiplier on their winnings.
During base game, hitting a Pumpkin symbol with a Ribbon added a free spins to the player’s upcoming free spins. This mechanic was potentially available to Aristocrat due to the IP exchange with Scientific Games.
Motown Stepper with Multiple IP
The Motown machine combined a stepper reel set, video display, and wheel (a combination showcased last year). Players can adjust the song on an old-school radio dial to change the display to the corresponding singing group.
Buffalo Diamond with Persistent Free Games
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Buffalo machine release. The Buffalo Diamond machine continues to expand the size of the base game reels … this time with a 45654 reel set. Buffalo Diamond has persistent free games during the base game (similar to FarmVille Mighty Cash), and a wheel that determines the free spins. Aristocrat improved the design and graphics in Buffalo Diamond, investing heavily in the free spins. The video below is from Fantini Research.
The amount of free games awarded changes based on bet amount.
