Cash Frenzy Innovates on City-Building Events
Cash Frenzy’s Happy Labor Day makes a major change from the app’s previous city-building event by having each player build their own city rather than using a global progression. Happy Labor Day also introduces several new mechanics, including building upgrades, idle resource generation, and penalties for failing daily missions.
The event uses these new mechanics to drive spend by selling tokens that upgrade buildings and boosts that make it easier to advance. Since players need to upgrade buildings to unlock idle resource generation, they’re incentivized to spend early in order to maximize resource generation and complete the event’s progressions.
