Slotomania’s Time of the Gargoyle is the first machine we’ve seen that changes based on the actual time of day. Every 12 hours, the machine alternates between day and night modes. The day mode’s mechanics focus on sticky wilds, while the night mode focuses on roaming wilds.

In this report, we analyze how Time of the Gargoyle uses a unique bonus to encourage players to engage with both day and night modes. This bonus requires players to complete 100 spins during either of the machine’s modes to earn bonus currency—but players must wait until the mode changes to claim it.
