Using Challenge Events To Connect Mini-Games
Roblox’s Winter Spotlight event embraces the app’s diverse gameplay by connecting 24 games from several genres through an event hub and progression of challenges. During the event, players complete normal and hard challenges in each game to earn two types of tokens, which they exchange to claim exclusive cosmetics.
By including two difficulties of challenges, the event raises the ceiling on engagement and encourages spending in games’ IAP shops to help complete hard challenges. Since players can only earn one of each type of token per game, they must engage with nearly all the games to complete the event.
