Machines with mini-game bonuses have a high estimated revenue impact of +2.6% WoW, but they are released less frequently than many less impactful bonuses. Most tracked slots apps released one or no mini-game bonuses in the past 12 months.

To illustrate how to design successful mini-games, we analyzed two new machines with mini-game bonuses. In Cash Frenzy’s Puppies’ Quest mini-game, players choose a character to advance on a quest map. In DoubleU Casino’s Castle Clash, players spin a reel to summon heroes and fend off waves of enemies.
