Add Physics-Based Mechanics to Mini-Games

Royal Match more than triples its weekend revenue by adding a mini-game with physics-based mechanics and evolving level design.

Add Physics-Based Mechanics to Mini-Games

In Royal Match’s Ocean Odyssey, players shoot balls to destroy objects in a series of levels. Each hit causes the ball to bounce off objects or walls, adding an element of randomness that makes progression unpredictable. As a result, the mini-game keeps players feeling close to completing levels while requiring more engagement than it may initially seem.

To encourage repeat playthroughs, Ocean Odyssey offers a new set of 20 levels with each iteration of the event—an unusually high amount of fresh content for a recurring mini-game. This evolving level design creates opportunities to introduce new mechanics in the future, such as new objects, boosts, or bonus levels.
