Using Missions to Drive Spend from Chain Offers
Last month, Candy Crush Saga and Zen Match both introduced a similar twist on chain offer events, leading to significant revenue growth. In these events, players complete missions to unlock IAP offers and additional rewards from IAPs.
These missions boost spend in two key ways: First, having players unlock IAP offers makes IAPs feel earned, which may make players more likely to buy them. And second, difficult mission requirements drive players to use boosts, leading them to buy more.
Due to the increased saturation of chain offers in the casual market, incorporating missions into chain offers may help sustain players’ interest.
